Garmin Return/Refund and Warranty Policy
Garmin products purchased in original condition can be returned for a refund within 30 days of receipt. Opened software, downloadable items, and custom products are non-refundable. Returns must be initiated through Garmin’s online return request process, and items purchased at retail or online stores must be returned to the original location of purchase. Restocking fees may apply, and shipping costs are non-refundable.
Garmin non-aviation products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. During this period, Garmin will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective products at no charge for parts or labor. Customers are responsible for shipping. The warranty does not cover normal wear, cosmetic damage, accidents, misuse, water damage, unauthorized modifications, use of non-certified cables or adapters, or external factors beyond Garmin’s control. Repairs or replacements retain the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
To request warranty service, start by reviewing online support resources at support.garmin.com. If the issue persists, contact a Garmin Authorized Service Center or follow Garmin’s instructions to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Products repaired or replaced by Garmin may use new or refurbished parts meeting Garmin’s quality standards. Warranty coverage applies only to purchases from Garmin or authorized resellers. Products from unauthorized resellers or online auctions are not eligible for warranty coverage.

Cancellations & Changes
Manufacturer Direct items may be canceled with a 5% cancellation fee. If an order cannot be canceled, it will fall under the returns policy below. Due to fast order processing, cancellation requests are not guaranteed.
Custom Items
Custom products may not be eligible for cancellation or return after 24 hours. Approved cancellations are subject to restocking fees:
- Up to 30% for custom-dimension products

Up to 50% for products with multiple finishes, specialty finishes, or non-standard dimensions
Not all custom items are returnable.
Returns
Most items qualify for a 30-day return, unless otherwise noted. Items must be returned new, unused, and in original packaging. All returns are inspected; items not in new condition may be subject to a 30% restocking fee or may be ineligible for a refund.
Manufacturer Direct Items
Items shipping directly from the manufacturer are identified on the product page. These items may carry manufacturer-specific return policies, and some are returnable only if unopened. With the exception of SkyTrak, Manufacturer Direct returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Shipping & Refunds
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of return receipt. Some items may follow a different processing timeline.
